On the morning of October 1, the flag-raising ceremony was held on each campus to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.
The Chairperson of the University Council Jiao Yang and the President of Fudan University Xu Ningsheng, along with over 900 heads and representatives of colleges and departments, faculty and students, attended the ceremony.
The 70th anniversary of the founding of New China marks the historical turning point. Our mission is even more glorious and our responsibilities are even more important, Chairperson Jiao stressed we must be firmly committed to building Fudan into a world-class university with Chinese characteristics.
With the responsibility on the shoulder, we must spare no effort to pursue our dreams, only in this way can we live up to the times and do not betray our mission, Jiao called on all the faculty and students to remember where we started and what our mission is.
